Lindsay Cooke is a certified therapist based in Boca Raton, FL. She focuses on issues of addiction, relationships, depression, and anxiety. She provides counseling throughout Palm Beach County for individuals and groups.

About Me:

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. I earned my Master of Science in Counseling in 2011 in Boca Raton, FL.

Over the years, I have worked in a variety of mental health settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and residential dual-diagnosis treatment programs, as well as community mental health clinics. I have provided therapy for both teenagers and adults experiencing a wide range of concerns, including addiction, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, eating disorders, mood disorders, trauma, grief and loss, and life transitions.

Watching clients grow and make positive changes is one of the most meaningful parts of my work. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can talk openly and work through what’s holding you back. I like to offer practical coping tools and problem-solving strategies that you can use in everyday life. My approach is flexible and personalized, drawing from CBT, DBT, and other evidence-based methods to best fit your needs.

Together, we will create a treatment plan that aligns with your therapeutic goals and supports your personal growth.

My Typical Client

You might reach out for support when you’re feeling disconnected from the person you want to be—lost, stuck in a rut, or acting in ways that no longer align with your values. Maybe you’re carrying feelings of guilt, shame, anxiety, or disappointment that won’t let you move forward. Or perhaps you’re facing a major life change—starting a new chapter, ending an old one, navigating a transition—and you’re unsure how to find your footing.

You may be experiencing symptoms of depression or anxiety: feeling “down” or unable to shake worry, overwhelmed by changes or even by the everyday demands of life. These emotional burdens can make it harder to connect with yourself and with others. Studies show that therapy and other supportive practices can help reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, enhance resilience, and improve overall quality of life. Preventive Medicine Daily

Whether it’s feeling unseen in your partnership, struggling to connect with those you love, grappling with major life transitions, or simply battling persistent highs and lows, you’re not alone. These relational struggles and emotional challenges often reflect something deeper within you and can become meaningful doorways to change.

While this time can feel heavy and overwhelming, it also offers a real opportunity—a chance to pause, look inward, and shift toward something more balanced and fulfilling. Together, we can explore how your relationships (past and present), your internal world (thoughts, emotions, patterns), and your current life transitions are shaping your experience. You’ll begin building tools to communicate more clearly, set healthier boundaries, manage anxiety, lift the weight of depression, and create meaningful connections.

You may have delayed seeking help… telling yourself it isn’t “big enough,” or believing you should figure it out on your own. What you might not realize is how helpful a professional perspective can be—and how transformative it is to have a safe space just for you, where your thoughts, struggles, and hopes are met without judgment.

In short: everyone’s story is different, but what unites most of the people I work with is a feeling that something needs to change. If you’re wrestling with difficulties—past or present—and are open to discovering new strategies to live more aligned with your values, improve your relationship with yourself and others, and move toward greater fulfillment (especially as you face change, anxiety or depression), you’re exactly who I’m here for.
